NFSC PROBLEMSSSSSS HELP!!!

Ok, this is what happened. I installed NFSC using a copied version, CRACKED it and wanted to play it. It displayed a message saying that a file d3dx9_30.dll is missing. I thought that was the file that i needed. so i decided to do download the .dll from some website. I copied the dll into the EA games folder and tried to play. Then it posed another PROBLEM. NFSC.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. so i thought of pasting the dll into the system and system32 dir as suggested by some of the websites. But the Problem continues. HELPPPP!!! HELPPPPPP!!!! HELPPPPP!!!

OMG! I NEED TO PLAY NFSC! Someone please help me!!
Please dont lecture me on getting an original copy. cuz i bought a cd-key online, but got the cd copied from an original belonging to my friend.

I'm guessing your computer is old. Or you just haven't updated it in FOREVER. Run Windows Update, please.

If it honestly couldn't find that DLL, and you were actually able to put it into system32, that means you didn't have DirectX 9.0c installed. You need that to play this game. Running Windows Update should automatically update your DirectX version to 9.0c.

does this apply even if i already have dx 9.0c installed, i mean do i need to update windows in general? cos i reallly reaaallly realllyyy dont want service pack 2 on my pc, its always caused me problems lol!
